Frequently asked questions
Do you install, or just supply?
Both. Across Melbourne metro we assess the room, calculate how many panels it needs and where they should go, then supply and install the full treatment. We deliver panels Melbourne locally at this time for you to install yourself.
How many panels does my room need?
It depends on the room’s size, its surfaces and how it’s used. As a starting point, cafés and open-plan spaces usually need panels across 15–25% of the combined wall and ceiling area, and quieter offices and consulting rooms nearer 10–15%. Send us the room dimensions and a few photos and we’ll come back with a panel count, a suggested layout and an itemised quote.
Will acoustic panels stop noise from next door?
No. Panels reduce echo and reverberation inside a room, which is what makes a café or office feel loud and makes conversation hard work. They aren’t a sound barrier and won’t block noise coming through a wall.
What does NRC 0.95 mean?
NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) measures how much sound a surface absorbs, on a scale from 0 to 1. Our panel tested at 0.95 in an independent reverberation-room test (ISO 354, report LCA-JC-2020-02337), meaning most of the sound in the speech range is absorbed rather than reflected. The result was measured with an air cavity behind the panel; panels fixed flat to a wall absorb less at lower frequencies. Download the spec sheet from the product page for the full results.
How do the panels mount?
Each panel comes with four impaling clips. The clips can be screwed to walls and ceilings, or fixed to walls with removable adhesive strips. A hanging kit is available for suspended installations.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form or call 0494 730 510. Include the room dimensions, what the floors, walls and ceiling are made of, how the space is used, and a few photos.
